Wouldn't work on Nikon the lens would cut straight through and produce a sharp image![]()

I wondered what it was that you used. Nice, inexpensive idea!![]()
In the 1990's, a wedding photographer had me buy a UV filter, then she used clear nail polish to create a soft look around the outside edges with the center being clear. Worked nicely, was permanent, and didn't make a mess.
I'm not so sure about that. If using a fast lens such as f/2.8 or faster, it might work well when shooting wide open. Part of it might depend upon the focus distance.
