Day Sixty

I had a few minutes after work while waiting for my wife to pick me up. I wandered around the area that gets planted every year by a gardening club. Not much starting to grow yet, but I did find this. I think it's a holly bush but not positive. I like flowers, but never can tell one kind from another.

Second shot is Shylo after her third Chemo treatment. The Vet (Also in the photo) said she's progressing really well.
Shylo really loves this man. Sometimes, I think she likes him more than me.

When I was 7, I got my first dog...a black lab that looked just like Shylo. His name was Lucky. Brought back a lot of memories, Mike. Thanks. :)

Dang this is getting tough. Had Monster rain today so the camera stayed at home. Then we stopped at grocery store on the way home. It's almost 9 and I'm just getting around to thinking about his. I grabbed the first thing I saw and took a shot.

I have to be honest about this. The box was empty. We finished if off last night but never threw the box away.

The one box we had was toast in about 5 minutes...then I sat there studying the photograph on the box for about 15 minutes...I think he used the old everyone close your eyes and open them when I count to three trick because some of them look like their eyes are about half shut... :)

I continue to remain on the whimsical side. Mostly because I don't like the weather outside.

This thing is a toy of some sort. You hang on to the stretchy part at the top and work it like one of the old bolo ball paddles, only this time your hand is the paddle. While it's bouncing, the impacts cause a little light inside to activate giving you different colors (an effect I couldn't reproduce withoug video).

Personally, I'm just happy I found something to use.

Ok, so I went outside in the cold after I said I hated it. So sue me. At least it was clear and I had the grill to keep me warm. Temp was around 40 and was a bit breezy. Some clouds moved out of the way and there the moon was.

Day Sixty Five

It started snowing on the way in to work today. Only predicting about an inch or so. I took this shot after I parked my car at 6:45. By 11 AM there was about 5" of the white stuff outside. Sun came out and by 4 there was almost nothing. Don't like Virginia weather? Wait a few hours, It'll change.

Once at work, one of my compadres offered me some Jelly Beans. I just can't turn down a Jelly Bean (unless they're jelly bellys). These were a hot cinnamon flavor.
He won't tell me where he found them yet, but check out the size. Gonna be a good Easter.

Really getting frustrated tonight.
I tried textures, I tried playing with light, I tried flash and no flash. Nothing seem to work. I finally got this little mouse out of the kitchen window and it took about a dozen shots to get one I liked. Today is just not my day. I think I'll go to bed now.

Seedless Watermelon. Where's the fun in that. As a kid, my brother and I used to have contests that involved those seeds.

Day Sixty Eight

I was home from work today because of an ear problem (everything I do makes me dizzy). I decided to play around with the camera. I played around switching between the kitg 18-55 and the 105 macro. Then the problems started. I couldn't decide which I liked best, so here's all three.

The pineapple on the bottom is very nice...I like it sir!

Ty I have been munching on it a bit this evening. (along with the watermelon, some orange slices, apple slices, strawberries and more).

I love fresh fruit and can't wait till the local crops start coming in.

Today is Charlie. The Grand Patriarch. As I said before, he's got to be 18 or better. I just wish we know for sure.

Wow seventy days already. Who'da Thunk It. Anyway. I lost a button on one of my favorite (and oldest) shirts. I asked my wife if she's sew one on... She told me if I could find one that matched.

PS: I didn't and She didn't.

Easiest way to fix that problem is to take ALL the buttons off of a shirt that you DON'T like and tell her that you found a whole bunch of matching buttons!

:)
