There was a kite-surf competition in the lagune and we just happened to pass by when they blew the start horn. It was very interesting to see the pattern made by the kites all blown up with the same half-moon shape.

Had "freshly caught" lobster for dinner with friends from the Island. Best lobster I've ever tasted in my whole life.

And the final touch, a wonderful sunset over the ocean... What else can someone ask for to end day of holiday?

It was lobster season's last day, so all the fishermen were taking their cages out. It made a busy dock even busier than usual.

There was a national CBC TV crew on duty to capture this event.

Today's shots are all HDRs, some 3 exposures and some 5. All processed from my small jpegs straight out of camera. The view and light were just great for this kind of shots.

Musicians playing outside in Havre Aubert.

Pianist (single exposure HDR with photomatix pro) through the window. Reminded me of one of my preferred song when I was a child: How much is that dog in the window.

Today I goofed around with multiple exposures with my Df. Well, in a windy situation, even the tripod wasn't enough to get the ground sharp. The ocean was rough and there was a lot of salt air mist around me. I did notice at some point that I hardly could see through the 16-35 with the front element covered with a fine mist...
As with any kind of learning, you miss a lot but I like the end result anyway. The one thing that got me is that I kept forgetting how many shot were to be on the same frame and I got lost in the count. This ended up with different pictures on the same frame. At some point, Line and her friends saw me close to them taking shots and they did pose for the camera, but with 5 exposures, it's impossible to get a sharp person. So she was a bit upset and even told me it was the last time she'd hire me :)

So here are the results of my "today's" experiment with multiple exposures.

Nice, they could be classed as oil paintings as they have that look. Not the thick palette oil painting but the smoother oil painting, kinda like I do.

Rainy day today so we went to visit a glass blower's shop. His daughter was giving a demo so I took a few shots. I ended up at ISO 6400 with the 70-300 because the piece was quite a way from me (thank God for that because it was HOT).

Oh, I almost forgot that since I did use LR to convert these, the camera that shows as "Corporation" is the Df.

So here are the pics:
