Thanks Marilynne, I enjoy doing this type of image and the Tamron really helps but I just wish I had a bigger variety of bird friends to shoot.

There are two houses for sale on my block and quite a few in my area.

First air show and I was about two miles away from the action. I only got just a very few keepers out of the bunch. Where I was shooting from, they were on me before I knew they were coming.

This was my first air show and I learned a lot of things that you need to do and several things NOT to do. I think next time my pictures will be a lot better and my keeper rate much higher.

Picking where to shoot an air show successfully is like finding were to get a store to start a business..... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!! I learned a lot about where to be and what settings to use and not use on my camera this weekend. I will be much more informed for the next time!!!

was talking to one of my pelican friends today and told him he looked too pretty to be a male! After a quick look to verify,
he said, "Nope I'm definitely a Dude".

I have posted several portraits lately of some of my bird friends and was asked yesterday to do my first family portrait so I gave it a try. It is a young family just starting out so I was honored to be chosen for the job!

This is our older cat "Tiger" that is 20 or 21 years old and she is doing what she does best..... Napping!!! She xame up to our house about 11 tears before hurricane Katrina came to visit us.

Several weeks ago Pat "from Ga." contacted me and said he and his wife would be coming through my area today so we met at Denny's and had breakfast together. It was nice meeting them and enjoyed the visit. I'll let you see if you can figure out who is who in the pictures.
