It just doesn't pay to be nice! After taking a few portraits of my pelican friends the other day, now when I see them the others ask for their portraits to be taken. Just a reminder of what can happen if you take some pictures of some of your friends and the others find out.

Great shots as usual Jeff.

Thanks Marilynne. I haven't gotten out much lately. I went to the doctors about my shoulders and he said that both of my rotator cuffs were completely worn out and the tendons were all torn up and that I have a mass amount of arthritis in both shoulders. Then he told me that they were not fixable and that the only thing that could be done was something called a reverse rotator cuff replacement. Well I beat cancer and I will beat this also eventually. The reason I am posting this is to let everyone know why I have not been as active on the site lately.

Jeff, your shoulders sound like my knee. Sorry to hear, but I know you'll fight this one off. Any chance that physical therapy might help?

Keep shooting, no matter what! :)

It is always something. If it isn't one thing, it's something else. Try not to aggravate it. I know you will overcome this also. Let us know how the assistant works out. I could use some help carrying my camera some days and I do not even have a Tamzooka.

I have already had both of my totator cuffs re-done years ago and they had to place screws in the left one to get it back together. This time the are just completly worn out, the tendons torn up and there is a massive amount of arthritis in both shoulders so physical therapy just won't fix it. He told me to deal with it as long as I could and then come in and get each one operated on. I very much appreciate everyone concern on the problem. I didn't want to mention it but I just wanted my friends here to lnow why my participation on the site has been a little erratic lately. I am here and plan to stay an active member for a long time. I very much enjoy hanging out and sharing pictures and information with all my friends on this site.
