Have a safe trip home Wayne. How's your foot?

Very good, all of them. It was a pleasure to meet Marilynne, Chris, Kevin and Wayne. I hope his foot is ok.

Instead of posting 100 pictures, here is a link to my Flickr album. Much easier this way I think.

I'm back home, safely, and my foot is a bit sore after being inactive in the car for about seven hours. I'll see my doc on Friday and tell him about it then.

Wednesday was the perfect day to go weather wise... Who picked that day? Was it Marilynne or Rodbender, or both? How far did you have rain on your trip, Marilynne?

Rich, you won't get Nikonites points for sending us to flickr! Show a few here. Maybe your daughter's favorite turtle photos would be great; she could help you choose which ones to post. They are superb, by the way!

When and where is our next trip?

This Snowy Egret was standing on rocks at the outflow of a culvert below another pond, waiting for dinner to come to him. His patience was rewarded with a FW Shrimp.

He finally turned away and ate the shrimp.

Excellent to see some members of the group getting together, hopefully next time you can give us some notice and I may be able to make the next one. Or you could organise it closer to me.... Lets say Borneo hehe.

I'd love to visit Borneo, I think, or your back yard, Australia. But I don't see that happening any time soon.

I worked our planning to send a lot of our aircraft to Australia air shows over the years (Darwin and Avalon are two that come to mind), but never did manage to get there myself. Everyone who ever went on those trips loved both the country and the people they met while there.

If I manage to live long enough, I will visit Australia one day. Outside of my trips-to-do in the USA, Australia is at the top of my list of preferred places to visit. The only problem with it, from what I'm told, is that you need several months to devote to the trip since there is so much to do and see.
