I'd love to visit Borneo, I think, or your back yard, Australia. But I don't see that happening any time soon.

I worked our planning to send a lot of our aircraft to Australia air shows over the years (Darwin and Avalon are two that come to mind), but never did manage to get there myself. Everyone who ever went on those trips loved both the country and the people they met while there.

If I manage to live long enough, I will visit Australia one day. Outside of my trips-to-do in the USA, Australia is at the top of my list of preferred places to visit. The only problem with it, from what I'm told, is that you need several months to devote to the trip since there is so much to do and see.

Or do as I do and do multiple trips :)

I'm back home, safely, and my foot is a bit sore after being inactive in the car for about seven hours. I'll see my doc on Friday and tell him about it then.

Wednesday was the perfect day to go weather wise... Who picked that day? Was it Marilynne or Rodbender, or both? How far did you have rain on your trip, Marilynne?

Rich, you won't get Nikonites points for sending us to flickr! Show a few here. Maybe your daughter's favorite turtle photos would be great; she could help you choose which ones to post. They are superb, by the way!

When and where is our next trip?

WM

Glad you made it home safe Wayne. Hope that foot is better soon.

Kevin threw out a bunch of days and I mentioned one, then you all agreed on it. I knew it wouldn't be on a weekend since I know how our wetland parks are on weekends. We were in rain on and off for about a half hour. It was heavy rain at times.

This is one of the first shots of the day for me.

The Kestrel. This was a very lucky find. I have never seen one there and Kevin remarked how he would like to get a picture of one. That Kestrel must have heard him talking.

Good shooting, Rich!

My Kestrel photos are focused on the foliage in stead of the bird....
