I noticed that with the first one and was going to ask you about it,then got sidetracked,its still a bit blue to me maybe its just one of those where the light and subject will never be 100%
It's hard to get it right. What you see out there doesn't always translate well when captured and I have to push it else the ice looks like water in the shot. I toyed with WB first but that lead to the blue of the first version. Here I lowered it as far as possible and then temp brushed everything but the bird. It took more than temperature adjustments alone to get into this direction. Ice isn't blue but when leaving it natural, it doesn't work. We "see" ice within context which is hard here.
It's not perfect but I didn't figure out yet how to get the perfect "ice look" out. I had to blue the bird slightly else the contrast is that huge it looks like I glued two shots together.
