Saw this on the side of a truck. Didn't know Borden was still around.

Ahh... these pics make my heart hurt, I wanna be down there so bad. I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (is that enough o's?) miss the beach, especially now that the weather is changing here.

And can you imagine taking beach/surf photos with a really nice 20/2.8?

Sorry Pretzel about taking beach shots. I think you need a few more o's, I didn't get the drift. The weather is changing here also. Barely made it to the upper 70's yesterday. It was suppose to ready low 80's today, but I don't see the sun, so I'm not sure that will happen.

Better than rainy 40's and 50's, with colder times to come... :(

My daughter is a bit south of ya this week, spending some time with Grandpa. She's hoping for the 80's to return SOON!

Here's the forecast for my area. Grandpa might have it a tad warmer. Beats the 40's we had this past weekend.

  • 78° 72° Today
  • 80° 71° Tomorrow
  • 82° 66° Thursday
  • 82° 65° Friday
  • 77° 64° Saturday

Nice photos, Marilynne. How do you like your D7100?

Thanks Hark. I love the D7100. It was a little heavy at first, but after 1.5 years, I've adjusted to the weight. It's REALLY, REALLY heavy when I use the Tamron 150-600mm.

This is a female grackle? We have the dark ones like you've posted, but I've never seen one of these. NICE! :)

Yes, like most of nature, the female is not colorful. This is from allaboutbirds.org - Common Grackle
[h=5]Adult female[/h]
  • Smaller, browner, and less iridescent than male
  • Dark brown overall, often with darker hood
  • Yellow eye

We used to have Borden's here in Pennsylvania. I can understand Mike not being familiar with it, but Roy, I take it you never had them out west? They used to be a very popular dairy company.

Nice photos, Marilynne. How do you like your D7100?
I have only been in the states since 2000, never seen this before.
