Reviving this thread.
Did a portrait shoot for a family of 3. After the shoot, the daughter wanted to have more shots of her outdoors (informal). It was quite dark already.
When I saw the bike with her dad, I suggested to her that we shoot her with the bike.

This is a 3 light set-up
2 SB900 on shoot thru umbrella on both sides
1 SB 900 gridded , and aligned to the girls face

Great shot Ranie,

Are you planning on getting rid of the electric wires in the background? this is the only critic I would have. But the overall effect is stunning.

Hi Marcel, Actually I did blur it already on post production. Thanks for pointing it out. It's either to clone it out or might as well crop it out.

Really, really nice, Ranie! I vote on cropping out the wires. As always, your lighting is so superb! Thank you for posting the setup info!

Best Regards

This is a 3 light set-up.
3 SB900 was used:
1 SB900 on large Octabox in front of model
2 SB900 firing on white backdrop (bare). One on each side
All triggered by Nikon CLS

Very nice lighting Ranie. I'd just warm it up a little in PP (for my taste which is very personal).

Here's what I'd do (might be my monitor???)

Nice take you got there Marcel, but that photo was originally done to be hi-key, that's why I put 2 SB900s to fire at the white background and had a large octabox in the front.
Did a few tweaks in post process to achieve that look.
Your monitor is spot-on. It was just made to look that way. :)

I don't mind the high key, but the bluish-cyanish cast makes her look cold to me. But I respect your intention and was just voicing my personal taste. :)
Very good shot by the way! It's nice to see you back on the forum.

Thanks Marcel. Glad to be back too. Been so busy the last few months that I was in Australia.
Now, its good to be back home. :)

Something is bothering me about that one too, Ranie. Your color processing is always spot-on, but that one does look a little "off". It almost looks as though you uploaded a 16-bit version instead of 8-bit.

Anthony, which pic are you referring? And to tell you frankly, I don't have any idea about that "bit" thing. :(
