Black Hooded Parakeets

w/o flash
dsc_6321_01.jpg

Didn't think the flash would do much since I was pretty far away, but it did

Thanks Woody. He was about eight feet away from me. I was on the fishing dock sorta looking down at him.

Didn't get very far when I heard kabooms behind me. This really doesn't portray the real skies. Turned around, got on my bike and pedaled home fast. Never did rain, but there was lots of thunder. Nine shots handheld

Not sure what happened when I stitched these two shots together, but I kinda like the fisheye view.

thats a long neck on the turtle, i also saw my first 2 ospreys in a while, nice shooting Marilynne

Thanks Roy. I'm glad the ospreys are coming back.

Chris went for a pedal after a rain storm yesterday. He called me when he got to one of our favorite canals to let me know he saw a spoonbill. It's almost time for the rest of the birds to migrate south.
