Have a great vacation! It was a great run, and I am with you on the not forcing yourself to shoot every single day. I think it helps bring the passion back. Every relationship can benefit from some time away. :)

Have a great vacation...I just got back from mine. I have done a couple 30 day challenges but know that the 365 would not work for me. I can't force a shot everyday. At that point I'm not improving...I'm just doing to get by.

Quite a few pics to go through... have edited nearly 40 so far, but was so worn out I didn't post. Still quite a few more to put my touch on too, but will get some up tonight!

If ANYONE has job connections down in Florida, I want to go back in a MAJOR way! *hint, hint, nudge* :) :)

I've got family and friends there. What part and what kind of work?

I get wanting to go back, I just don't get wanting to stay. ;)

Beach within 30 minutes, LOL. Dad lives in Davie, FL (a little south of Ft. Lauderdale) but anywhere along the coast, Atlantic or Gulf would be awesome. I'm currently a call center supervisor for one of the larger regional banks, so know quite a bit about banking and/or customer service, and the wife is one of the heads of HR at another smaller bank.

Something about Florida just clicks with my soul... no other way to put it. DREAMING about making a move, but it's hard to start over.

Ok, here are a few of the pics from my trip. Still working on some of the better ones. ;) (warning: there are a LOT more where these came from, too!)

1st, a shot of the Gouldian Finch Dad lets fly around his screened in patio.

Ghost crab trying to hide in the surf.

Just an old log that caught my eye.

My boy checking the surf's edge for shark's teeth.

And... some sort of piper? Long Billed Dowitcher? Anyone? I'm a novice when it comes to a lot of beach birds. ;)

Few more...

Gull in flight!

FLA6.jpg

And a poem... Gull in flight, black and white!

FLA7.jpg

A few pelicans flying in looooooow...

FLA8.jpg

And a group of royal terns. 3 adults, one juvenile, and one gull. Caught an odd one with a spur below his beak?

FLA9.jpg

Royal tern showing off the royal wings. This was actually the juvenile, and he was hopping up to catch the wind every once in a while. Thought it made for a cool pic with his shadow and all...

Royal tern at the sandwich shop?

FLA11.jpg

Back off, bald guy!

FLA12.jpg

Mom! Mom! MOM! HEY MOM! FEED MEEEEEE! MOTHER! FEED MEEEEEEE!

FLA13.jpg

Another bird I don't know... LOOKS like a gull, but the brown coloring throws me off.

FLA14.jpg

Royal tern showing me the royal backside!

ALMOST away from the bird pics for a while. Sorry, just love the beach birds. ;)

I didn't feel so bad about being bald on the beach with these two Sandwich Terns hanging out. ;) At least I didn't have the "bird's nest" hairdo.

FLA16.jpg

A different shot of the brown gull. VERY pretty coloring!

FLA17.jpg

We almost got to see a full scale waterspout one afternoon. This is as far as it formed.

FLA18.jpg

The rare (for me) Osprey sighting!

FLA19.jpg

DO NOT STEP OFF THE TRAIL! These Banana Spiders were everywhere off of the main paths, and huge!

FLA20.jpg

The underside...
