My trip down south to visit family. It's a 900km drive and I've never done it alone before so I was a bit apprehensive. It took me 12hrs, so I was well pleased with that. being such a long drive tho I couldn't just stop at all the places I saw that I'd like to stop at otherwise I'd never have got there.
So Day 1 not so many photos, but I did make a very quick stop at the cane mill at Broadwater
I arrived in town just after dark so stopped at the local MacDonalds and took a couple of "Jüst in case" shots from the corner. I don't get to see traffic at night near home so it was a good excuse
Day 2
I drove another 2 1/2hrs down to my sisters house. My mum is in a nursing home close to my sister and my prime objective was to be able to see mum. Just a great co-incidence that my sister is into photography too
On the way I drove past my parents old house and the house I lived in when I got married. I'd forgotten about the waterfall just across the road from my old house
I stopped at a lookout called Sublime Point on my way down to my sisters
I also found a garden with some gorgeous proteas
