I edited it that way as thats how I liked the look. I have sooo many Rhino pics and have tried various processing methods.Great shots! My fav: the lion (male) yawning. Just take care of horizon (tends to decline to the right)...
Rhino: change of the gamma will produce more details in the burned out areas (highlights) at the expense of the details in dark areas:

Most were just with the 70-200 and on the odd occasion with a 1.4TC.Was this just with the 70-200? Or did you have a TC with it too?
Stunning shots Scott.
Great photos Scott. Some real standouts here. I liked the Jackal - an underrated little scavenger.
That 2.8 lens did a lot of good work.
No Leopards at Tshukudu?
looks like some one ran over puddy cats tail. Lol
where the rhino horns cut or natural wear?
he is dinner if that is a canon.
There has been and still is a lot of Rhino poaching going on, the guys at the reserve trim their rhino horns which stops the poaching. They also have an ear out and have since heard that poachers are again looking at this reserve as they are getting long enough again. The cut rhino horns are micro chipped and stored in a secure safe in Johannesburg until the day that it becomes legal to sell. Just think that instead of killing a rhino for its horn they could possibly breed them for it and cut it when at the size needed, and no rhino would have to die. Still not ideal but alot better than having them go extinct.where the rhino horns cut or natural wear?
