This is my dearly departed (after 21 years) Ball Python, "Slinky".



And my Copperhead, who I turned loose after 4 years. He was the most docile venomous snake I have ever seen. I never once needed to use a snake stick to remove him from his cage for cleaning. I pretty much handled him as I would any non-venomous snake. You really do have to piss them off pretty badly before they will bite. Now, cottonmouths and rattlers, which I have both had, are a whole different ballgame! Cottonmouths are just plain mean.

Been there many times! I lived in Mandarin for 3 years and we used to go there all the time. The very first time I saw the sign I though it was probably going to be a joke, but it turned out to be an amazing place. I never knew a gator could jump so high for a chicken!

Of course your first one is a banded Kingsnake and not a Coral Snake, but that is the one venomous snake I have never been able to find and catch, though they are supposedly plentiful around this part of FL. They are very reclusive. Of all the venomous snakes I have had as pets (I am licensed by the state of FL to keep but not SHOW, venomous snakes), I think my Eastern Diamondback was my favorite. It (I say "it" because it was too dangerous to sex it by only one person) was about 5 feet when I finally turned it loose. It was just getting too large for the 115 gallon aquarium it was in. But it was such a gorgeous snake!
