This is my dearly departed (after 21 years) Ball Python, "Slinky".
And my Copperhead, who I turned loose after 4 years. He was the most docile venomous snake I have ever seen. I never once needed to use a snake stick to remove him from his cage for cleaning. I pretty much handled him as I would any non-venomous snake. You really do have to piss them off pretty badly before they will bite. Now, cottonmouths and rattlers, which I have both had, are a whole different ballgame! Cottonmouths are just plain mean.
