I've been seeing these plants all over lately. Have no idea what they are and they're not in my Audubon book.

This Anhinga was drying off at the water's edge when I pulled up on my bike. By the time I got the camera ready, he was off ---

I was thinking these were Irises, but after looking in my Audubon book, I think they're Bladderwort since they were in the water.

Some great stuff here Marilynne. I wish I had some nice wetlands around here. We do have some but they go by another name........SWAMPS. :)

Thanks STM. Today's shots are at a lake behind a hospital.

Our wetlands are really water reclamation facilities.

Met WhiskeyMan (Wayne) at Wako this morning. We haven't had any morning rain until today. We got shelter in the gazebo until it cleared. I left him there when the wind picked up and the thunder started. It started to rain again when I was two blocks from home.

WhiskeyMan and I did about 3/4s of the way around Wako when the winds started to pick up and the sky got a little dark. I pedaled over, so I left him there. Hope he had a good time.
