It is a WT-5. It took a couple of times to get it connected, but once I did, it seems to work fine. I find that the closer that I am to a wireless router, the faster the transfers go (duh). Still not as fast a cable though.

Do you have extension tubes to use for this? Kenko is quite popular, but Vello also makes a set which costs a lot less. It gets good reviews, too, although I don't own it. Someone on here mentioned it so I think there are some Nikonites who use the Vello set.

No not at all. Extension tubes will allow your subjects to be magnified even more. In either of the sets I mentioned, there are 3 tubes. You can use one, two, or all three together. This guy shows the difference between using extension tubes compared to a shot taken without one. If you do really small subjects such as itty bitty bugs or single snowflakes, extension tubes will magnify your subject more. But you don't need to use them. Sorry if I confused you!
