Good you're back. I hope that now you doing as well as you wanted it be

I am feeling so much better! My back is finally getting back to normal, still some pain and stiffness when waking up. But everything is on the up and up! Now if only work would slow down some. But since it is now summer, trauma season is getting into full swing.

Ok....so...life has really not been wanting me to take photos lately. But who cares?! I took some anyways!!

My Ka Bar BK10 came in. It is a new camp knife that replaces an older Ka Bar.

Finally got to catch up here, and LOVE those fly shots! You tie those yourself?

All tied and fished by me. Usually they don't look quite that nice since the fish really don't care. (I fish warm water, so I don't have picky trout. Gills and bass hit anything.) but on the examples I photograph I break out the magnifiers and give it a real go. Usually I try for less than 10 minutes a fly. But those....were quite a bit longer.

I usually target Sunfish, crappie, bass, and Carp. Man you wanna talk about fun. Watching a 15lb carp sip a fly off the surface and then scream line off after the set is crazy fun. About filled my trunks (I wet wade) the first time it happened. I use a stacked deer hair fly called a dog biscuit for carp. I tie them in white to look like a piece of bread. Works like a charm.

I have had them bend my 9 foot 6wt into the cork. I toss the smaller stuff on my 6'11" 4wt. Makes a big shouldered bluegill seem like a tank. Since I went over to fly fishing I haven't gone back to my other tackle.

I am thinking of getting a 9wt to go after Northerns and Muskie. God now those flies will be huge!

Those spiders are daddy long legs. Completely harmless to humans.

The Ka Bar(can you tell I am a fan) is a Crewman model. Geared more towards survival, but with a point better suited for thrusting. Designed for US airmen for if they are ever shot down behind enemy lines. It makes for a great heavy bushcraft knife. Something for when my sub 4 inch knife comes up short in the blade and weight area.

Some Flowers and A weed!

Pink Rose (1 of 1).jpg

Trying to go with a soft look. The flower reminded me of someone blushing. So I tried to bring that out in PP.

My homemade diffuser became a nice dog toy for all of 3.2 seconds. So some harsh flash in dwindling light....
