Back to work today and my shot is work related . Lithting was to say the least challenging.

A few more taken tonight that I can't resist posting. I tried HDR like Chris but couldn't get the result I was looking for with Photomatix. I didn't have a tripod so the mountains would not register. Nice shot Chris!

Well, you seem to have handled it well, Marcel. Very nice photo.

Nice set of three above. I especially like the last one.

Ran out of time to post yesterday so here's my catch of the day taken during orchestra rehearsal.

Today's going to be yesterday's shoot. Thanks to Anthony who suggested the "maquette" effect. I had a shot perfect for this, or so I though.

And a wider angle just for fun.

The wider angle looks much better, Marcel...though I think it still needs some tweaking. Perhaps remove the blur at the bottom?

Yesterday's family reunion gave me the opportunity to work with the 55 1.2 manual lens. In almost darkness, I found it a little hard to focus. But the softness of this lens at 1.2 makes out of focus shot still nice to look at. Here's my cousin's granddaughter Abbygail. iso 4000, 1/80 @ 1.2.

Work day today, tomorrow will be my day off. Here's my stuff from a great canadian pianist rehearsal. Nice thing about the D7000 "quiet mode" is that I can shoot all I want and I'm not disturbing the artists.

Ended up working again today. I had a huge window to take this naturally lit portrait for my piano people project.

Thanks Jack. I only shot it as it was, sitting on a counter top at my friend's house. Tried to get rid of the stem but then changed my mind since it left traces on the brick background wall.
I didn't do any sharpening or PP except a little color temperature change.

Today's pianist wasn't home so I got the piano alone and the husband in his woodworking shop.

Today's find was a special electric/acoustic piano. Not too many of those were made right here in Quebec.

Really great piano shots, Marcel! I love the photo of the little girl. Nice capture and well done . . . very sweet.
