Not worth the risk or the cost. If there was a clear vehicle easement I could drive it on then I'd take a pickup and a ladder. As it stands, I could easily be out the rental plus fines for whatever they wanted to give me fines for that have to do with operating a vehicle on private lands, ruining property, etc. Like I said, I got something, so I'm happy. The rest will come, or it won't, I'm not worried. If I knew there was a picture to be had that made it worth it then I might push. I'd rather risk the $150-1000 fine for trespassing at Greystone Psychiatric before they tear it down than pay for a cherry picker.

Yes I know the area well. Took them forever to finish that construction on 78.

Ouch! I just picked my jaw up from the floor. ;)

These are incredible photos, Jake. I really like how you used selective focus rather than keeping everything sharp. :cool: Drat...can't do anything similar with my electronic keyboards. :( Makes me wish we still had our baby grand piano.

I had to come back and take another look. :surprise: Quick question for you, Jake. Did you use your iphone app to determine the DOF especially for the 105mm f/9 shots, or did you simply treat those as macro shots?

I use the DoF preview button and image review to get it close and then bracket the aperture and keep the ones I like and pitch the rest. No need to measure here. If it hadn't been so blasted dusty I would have used LiveView and zoomed in to see what was what since it was sitting on a tripod.
