Okay Doug let me get this straight…

1. The GF accidentally gives you something to keep you awake at 1 a.m. - with no ulterior motive.
2. Then you happen to pass a Church which happens to be close at hand ….
3. This is followed by a photograph entitled "chained up" … is this some sort of cover up?
4. Is there proof of a subtle message in the "Not a rolling stone"? - gathers no moss perhaps because you are putting down roots?
5. Ah yes there it is the "Tumbled Giant" covered in moss and now you are disgusted with yourself!!!

Too Late buddy!!

When is the big day? :applouse:

doubtful there will will be a big day. Neither of us are even thinking about it yet.

Thank you. In my rush I just completely forgot about it. I used the camera shake reduction in Photoshop CC to salvage what I could.

Whew. Out of the 365.

I jumped in the truck this morning to run back and retake the water shot. But then as I turned the key a thought struck me. It was just one word really. Why. Why was I doing it? Was it for me...or for the 365? Unfortunately the answer I arrived at was...it was for the 365. I wasn't going out today to shoot for me. But for the 365. And that didn't sit too well with me. I started this 365 to improve my photography. But what I have come to realize is that a couple of times I posted something...just to post it. To stay in the running.

But that went against what I am trying to do. I am trying to capture a photo. Not just take one. It is defeating my goal of shooting with a purpose. For me I would rather withdraw from the 365 then go against my main reason of shooting. And that is to make each photo count.

So today I set the camera down and just enjoyed a day of not shooting. But chose to reflect on why I bought my Nikon dSLRs, and for what purpose I bought them.

It just didn't feel right anymore to post a photo I wasn't proud of.

So I am out of the 365. But I will continue to post in this thread. From now on I will only post the date taken, but not the --/365. Good luck to everyone still in the running!!

That is basically the same reason I don't do a 365. I shoot for me. BUT this the the "Project 365 & Daily Photos" section so you can still post in the same place but just won't be in the running for the 365. No big deal, just have fun and shoot for you.

Yes. That is why I wont add the --/365. To let people know I am not keeping track for the 365. I will still be posting here though. Why waste a good thread right?!
The 365 was still fun. But it started to affect my photography in a negative way. So I thought it best to just end it.

Our chickadees will do that, but our Robins stick to worms and insects. So I have to do the spot and stalk technique. Which basically means I try and find the laziest Robin, and then creep up on it.

You better be posting regularly! I love your thread so much :)

Thanks Wud. I am out of the 365. But I will still be posting daily or near enough. I just couldn't post another crap shot just for the sake of posting for the 365. There were a few I posted that every time I see them they leave a sour taste in my mouth.

But I can't waste a good thread and stop posting , now can I?

@mikew. I am stealing you idea and taking birdseed with me next time. I usually bird with binos. Half the time I forget the camera is with me. I am going to have to start looking thru the viewfinder more.
