I was right at 50 feet away. It wasn't nearly as sharp as I wanted, but I have been trying to get that beggar for the last 3 weeks.

I had 1 shot, then he bailed on me!

You certainly leave a nice buffet for the local birds Pete! I just put out one lousy feeder for them.

I've never been to NC but it sounds like a place that I'd love to visit - beautiful state with very hospitable folks.

How on earth do you keep the squirrels away?? I put out one feeder and the squirrels will have it empty in a day.

A large plastic dome midway up the pole works great! The squirrels think it sucks, but I like it!

hmmm ... may have to look into that. I've also heard that if you mix a little cayenne pepper in with the bird food the squirrels won't go near it, but the birds still love it.
