While I waited to get a car tire repaired yesterday, I went for a walk down to the beach.
Saw these two guys flying their RC planes.

The Hay Point Export Coal Terminal is in the background.

A couple of Coal Ships on the horizon just to the left of Flat Top Island with the lighthouse, and Round Top Island off the coast near Mackay.

Wonderful shots. The color of the beach, water and sky are perfect.

Thanks Don. I think I surprised myself a bit with these, as I am sure I didnt have the camera set as good as it could have been for this type of work, I hadnt changed any settings since I finished shooting some flowers, just swapped the lens over and started shooting.
I have been meaning to set up u1 or u2 for birds in flight, would have been handy. As it was I was trying to AF with a single point, still got a few keepers, so I am happy.

I have posted these two photos in the "Post your Leaf" thread already, but I am guilty of not putting any data with them.
I was asked what lens I used by PM, so I thought I would re-post them here with some info, just in case anyone else is interested.

Nikon D7100, Nikon 16-85VR, @25mm, f7.1, ISO 400, 1/80sec, AWB, handheld.

Went for a walk around the backyard this afternoon with the Nikon 105 micro, I got bitten by green ants and a marchfly, and almost stepped on a snake, but I got some more photos of flies .

Brad, how do you get them to pose so well!! ??? :)

Pat in NH
They were mesmerized by the snake Pat.

You are getting some great detail with your current set up.

I am loving this new lens Scott.
Still contemplating a flash, I think getting a bit more light in there would help.
I am underexposing most of my shots, just have to brighten them up a bit in PP.

I had to put down one of my Chooks today, I buried her in my pool garden beside this Rose Bush.
To try and cheer myself up a bit afterwards, I took some photos of a flower on the Rose bush.

 RIP Mrs Hoppy.
