thanks Barbara, that was my first thought, but did a google search and thought it was a condor??? anyway i didnt see any turkeys about:rolleyes::rolleyes::D

Well all Condors are vultures, but all vultures are not condors.

Condor is the name for two species of New World vultures, each in a monotypic genus. They are the largest flying land birds in the Western Hemisphere.

They are all carrion eaters, aka they like to eat dead critters. :)

From what I have read, turkey vultures are named thus because they are about the size of a wild turkey and have the same coloring. They are huge birds, that's for sure. :)

a few from my bike ride around the lake this morning, the big dog above looked done, didn't move at all, I missed a st Bernard getting wheel in on a kids toy cart, he defo has it easy;)

a few different from todays walk, yes the water was greenish, took me about 20 mins to catch the dragonfly.

this is the moon shot I wanted to enter in last months comp, finally getting around to working out how to crop it and hold the detail, this was crop 17, I am a fast learner;)

thanks guys, had no bike today, so I walked a mile out and sat watching the heron
