Blue moon tonight! That is where there are two full moons in the same month. This is my attempt at photographing it. The results would have been better if I hadn't been lazy and got my tripod out but I just didn't want to mess with it.

This is a heron I photographed while I was out yesterday.

I was driving down a two lane road when I spotted these yellow flowers on the opposite side of the road so I swung over there , rolled down my window and shot this with my D600 using my Nikon 70-200 VR F2.8 lens to get a quick snap before some traffic came and I had to move.

Thanks Bill and Barbara! I was pretty happy with this one myself. He poked his head out from behind the tree long enough to get the shot then took off.
