Snack time!

This was shot with my Nikon D7000 using my 70-300VR lens and was shot at ISO 2500 due to being late in the afternoon and it was getting dark because of the weather.

Good catch,2500 iso i haven't pushed my D7000 over 800 yet, shows its worth doing if needed.

mike

I have pushed my D5100 up a couple of time just to see what it would do and was very surprised at what it would do. The sensor in your D5100 is the same as the D7000. I like to keep the ISO as low as I can but it is nice to know that you can push it when needed.

I managed to get a picture of a visitor from up North today. This is a good example of why I shoot almost 100% with single point focus. The single point focused on the bird and the foreground and background are out of focus.

This is a picture of our two lane fishing pier that you can drive out on. It is over a mile long and if you look close you can see a part that sticks out from the pier and that is a turn around that is the half way mark of the pier. It parallels the four lane bridge over to the right hand side of the frame. I took this early this morning with my D600 using my Tamron 24-70 F2.8 lens.

This is a shot looking down the pier.
