RIP :(
Nice. The D5100 / D7000 sensor is amazing. What did you shoot this at?
Thanks Don..
This was shot with these settings -
D5100 with 18 - 55mm lens @18mm
15 sec at f/8
ISO 400
Not sure why, but can you see some kind of matting or something on this image?
I have tried uploading a number of times, but each time after upload the image looks like this..
is the uploader doing something?
I have been pushing my D5100 in some low light setting lately including caves. I just wanted to see how far it would go.
The same as in this picture below? I noticed but though it was PP - maybe it is?
Such beautiful nightshots. I want to do night shots now, but it just not as pretty here!
Yea.. just that one pic..
looks fine after exporting, but when i upload it turns that way
And trust me, night is always pretty as long as you are on this planet
you just got to look with your creative eye
give it a shot & you'll surprise yourself
:triumphant: :victorious:
Back to topic, I should be in Germany next week, hope to get some good night shots there.
Lucky, wish I was going to Germany. Um, you are a little early for Oktoberfest though. With the D3 I think you should do just fine. Nice Shots White! I still have 20 pages or so to look at but I like what I see so far.

Whitelight I was wondering about that MOONRISE shot also, It is odd, It looks like pixel blocks, but that shouldn't happen unless it was a sizing or resolution issue.

5 sec each exposure at f/8
ISO 200

This image shows basically how easy i have it..
me chilling with my photo stuff & my wife.. just chilling![]()
Don - what's the best way to upload a pano to the forum?
This pic originally is around 14k pixels... i resized it to 3k pixels..
but obviously the uploader resizes further to 1000px...
and the details of the image are not seen
Color is a bit strange. Is this accurate?
