Anyone have Amazon Prime and love it?

I've had a Prime membership for three years now and I love it. I bought my D7000 in a brick & mortar store, because they helped me out a lot with looking at different models and such, but most of my other gear has come from Amazon. The free shipping is great, and only $3.99 for next day delivery is hard to beat. I've ordered some weighty items (a bedframe and a nightstand to name a couple) and the free two-day shipping saved me quite a bit. It was money when I was deployed too, even though it took longer than two days.

I am a Prime Amazon customer and have been forever. I live in the middle of nowhere and most stores are an hour or more away. I check prices everywhere but most things are less expensive for me on Amazon and I LOVE the shipping. I also love the no-problem returns. Prime customers get free Kindle book loans too.

Laura, how does that book loan thing work.. My wife has a kindle and uses it all the time.. I wonder if she might like the loaner program.. How is the book selection for the loaners.. (she is picky:)

Thanks (we can pm if you prefer)

Pat and anyone else interested in free kindle books: Amazon has a good amount of free books for the Kindle, without joining Prime. But some kindle devices make it very difficult to browse only the free books. On the Kindle Fire, you can refine your search to sort by price to get the free books at the top of the list. Also from the Amazon website, you can easily sort your search results by price and find the free stuff in your category of interest.

Another neat Kindle feature: On the link that Laura posted for info on the loaner books, you can find another link for info on borrowing public library books. Our local library has a lot of books available for Kindle loan and the system works quite smoothly. You check out the title from the library website with your library card and they hand you off to Amazon who delivers the book to your kindle in the usual way. Sometimes there is a waiting list and they email you when your turn comes around.
