As I said earlier, Grafton is a small town. While they are blessed enough to have a truly remarkable church, the rest of the town is not that remarkable. I'm sure the residents are wonderful, but Grafton is far from being cosmopolitan.

Beyond a glimpse of the artisan Church from surrounding streets, Grafton would not be mistaken for Soho.

The buildings are simple, but functional. There isn't really any flare for the artistic, and I doubt that any big-name acts perform at the local watering hole.

As I browsed through the local architecture, I didn't expect to find much other than the simple and common.....

......... then, out of the blue, I saw something you'd expect to see in the Big Apple, or Paris, or London.

Marilynne, I'm surprised. My "954" is just like your 561.

And, I just turned 64. (Going on 19.) :triumphant:

Happy Belated Birthday! I checked the calendar for September and also your profile and didn't see your birthday. That makes you a year older than me.

Guess I don't dial that many 954 numbers.

Well I have my 37th wedding anniversary and turn 61 years old this year.

Congrats Jeff! We hit 39 years in March this year!

Nope. Yer the old fart. I'm 03/05/1949. Now I feel spry. Using the word "spry".... does that make me old again? :numbness:

And, I was married for 15 years.......... 5 the first time and 10 with the second. The first one was a starter-marriage and shouldn't really count.

One of America's first shopping malls, circa 1890.

The Arcade in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, is a Victorian-era structure of two nine-story buildings, joined by a five-story arcade with a glass skylight spanning over 300 feet (91 m), along the four balconies.[2] Erected in 1890, at a cost of $867,000, the Arcade opened on Memorial Day (May 31, 1890), and is identified as one of the earliest indoor shopping malls in the United States.
