I have been trying to get a picture of this gator for about three years and it has always been in the water with just his head showing. I spotted him today on the grass and ran down to get a shot and I had time enough for one shot and then he jumped into the water.

Your photos never cease to amaze me. I know you use a 70-200 with a teleconverter, but how close were you?

Some of you may know that I don't live far from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Gator Farm where the gator boys filmed their TV show and hung out last year. I managed to meet them and talk with Paul and Jimmy on several occasions. These are pictures of the Gator Farm they were at. This was taken today May 4th 2013 after the bad rains that we have been having. You should NOT BE SEEING any water in any of the images that I am posting. The area to the right inside the privacy fence in the second photo is where the gator wrestling was filmed.

My wife and I went for a ride today in my car when I spotted this Blue Jay across the street, so I took a quick shot of it. Taken with D600 with 70-300VR lens.

I was out shooting some boat races and took a few snapshots of the seagulls flying in the area. Here are 5 of the seagull photos. Shot with D600 with 70-200VR lens.

3 and 5 are my favorites!

Any time I am out and there are birds like that flying around I always try to get some shots just for practice so when something I really want comes along I have a better chance of getting the picture. Thanks for taking a look. I will probably post some boat pictures a little later.
