Very nice, and I like that you can still see the color of the sky and the lights of the restaurant aren't blown out. I think I see a star too.

Nice shot Helene, I think I even recognize the place! Are you running around Capitan with your tripod at night?

Actually I was in such a hurry tonight to ge something "postable", I took it from my truck and used the window as a "tripod" (After several blurry shots, I realized I should turn off the engine . . .duh!) Trying to find beauty in my back yard :)

Have you ever eaten there? They're closed so much I don't know how they make a living!

Thanks for the comment, Bill.

Never eaten there, funny about their hours, guess they are in the rich don't need to make a living place like some others I can think of.

I saw this shot in Building Night Life. I like that the light has been removed and more of the photo has been moved to the right. My eyes are now drawn to the right and the purple light in the window, followed by the bench below. I don't know if the low rez upload but the photo also looks like it could be a miniature, that's the feeling I get when I look at the bench, Great shot.

Happy little "sunflower kitchen wizard", who reminded me of spring!

Oh this is funny, I know what Snoot is and how it's done. I find that funny because two days ago I had no idea. I was out on the Strobist web site and saw this done, I found it interesting but asked myself how would you apply it to a shot. Well your picture answers that question.

The photo gives me the feeling the photographer was in an orchestra pit looking over the musicians shoulder at his sheet music lit up by a dim light on a music stand.

Very well done
