Yes, as I can't very well operate the camera with gloves, I almost froze my fingers this morning working around that little creek.

Marcel, I just want you to know that you are not the only one that has to deal with cold weather, it was 59F degrees here when I got up this morning! LOL

Feb 5th.

A little too cold to shoot outside, and, thanks for the weather reports from Florida. It really helped my moral ;).

Still Feb 5th.

Baby sitting my grand daughter means photo ops. It was getting late and the light was dim except what was coming from the TV…(nothing like a good cartoon to keep their eyes riveted),
D600 with Rokinon (Samyang) 85 1.4 @1.4, iso 4000. For those who say the D600 is not good enough with high iso...

Marcel, would you do me a big favor and stop showing pictures by the D600, cuz I don't have the money to get one right now!!!!!! This will also help lower my blood pressure. Great shots!!!

Feb 6th, I went skiing with my grand daughter Judith and didn't have time to take the camera outside. So God invented the Cat ;)

Very nice Marcel... did you add any lighting?

Pat in NH

Thanks Pat. No additional lights were used. I think I've used flash only once so far for my piano person's project. I try to keep it as natural as possible and do the best with what's there. In this case, I thought I'd have to go with B&W since there was a large window and some tungsten lights in the room. But I just removed a bit of saturation and think it's OK like this.

I think this is one of your better shots. I like the way you managed to get seperation between the dark board that holds the music and the black sweater. , nice shot.

Thanks Jeff. I did have to paint off her face reflected in the piano's lid because it was taking away the focus on her face. I just used a layer and black brush.
