Here is one that I did this morning with my D90: Just a pen taken with the Sigma 105 2.8 macro lens. Available light from the window, handheld (too lazy to get the tripod ;-)).
I like quite a bit. Seems the D90 is more forgiving than the D7000. Maybe the pixels are not so tight together.

I love the color of the light, mysterious and soft at the same time. The background color helps the shot too.

A dull overcast day at the racetrack, shot with my d90 and siggy 50-500 OS not long before the lens packed up..(in being repaired now) never mind luckily I had my d300s and 70-200 2.8 with me to finish the day off.
