Elliot87, I feel the same way. Funny you mentioned the challenge of 'finding the subject' - I struggled with that all the time at long focal lengths when using the P600.
I'm about to go to India and Nepal next month and will take along both of my DSLR bodies plus a number of lenses. Nevertheless, the primary tool for much of the trip will be my Panasonic TZ101 'superpocket' because it is good enough for most situations and a whole lot easier to have on me at all times.
