Hi from Pennsylvania

I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi! I've been shooting photos for quite some time and have been using an older DLSR. I'm currently shopping and thinking of buying the D5100 (with a 18-55 or 50-300 lens - can't decide which yet).

The D5100 is a great camera, and has a lot of updates to my D5000. I would definitely get a 18-55 before a zoom. Although, if you decide to get both, there is a $150 rebate on the purchase of a 55-300 when you get a D5100 on Amazon:
