Tokina has announced a new 11-16 2.8 DX WITH internal focusing silent motor. So all D40-up will be able to use this lens.

Also, a 70-200 F4, VR and internal focus is about to be launched. I found this at: www.nikonplanet.com/3rd-party-lenses/lens-upcoming-tokina-70-200-f4/

This is getting interesting for someone who wants a nice lens that is not too heavy and expensive. Let's wait and see what the reviews will be like.

The new 11-16 is tempting but I'm so darn happy with my Sigma 10-20. . . I guess it depends on what Nikon does for a pro-level DX body to replace the D300. I'm not planning on a body upgrade or change, but if the anticipated sell-off of used D700's occurs. . . I might be tempted to go full-frame.

Wow! I've been considering a UW for awhile, glad I waited! I had it narrowed down to the Nikon 10-24 over the Tokina solely on the focusing motor. Reviews will be interseting!
