They're both great lenses, excellent IQ all the way around. I have an 11-16mm f/2.8 but only because the 12-28mm f/4 wasn't available at the time. If I was still in the market for an ultra-wide DX then I'd get the more flexible 12-28mm f/4, personally. I know I wouldn't miss the extra stop.I am looking to add to my lenses collection a wide angle DX lens.
Has anyone experience with one of the lenses in the subject?
Thanks,
Amnon
Both. What do you think is more important: the extra stop or the extra zoom?
Of course, But assuming you can have only one.
Is it sharp at the 11mm range?
If you want some example shots:Is it sharp at the 11mm range?
Don,
I have edited my profile, I hope that will help in the future.
Anyway, My present camera is D500.
My lenses are all Nikon so far. Micro 85, 18-55, 55-200, 18-105 and 18-300 (new model)
My favorite lens is the "all in one" 18-300. When I am traveling it's the only lens I am taking with me. The photos are excellent and the lens is very light relatively to that range of the zoom.
Thanks,
Amnon
