How FACEBOOK "adjusts" your feeds!!

I was wondering why my news feeds seem to subtly change from time to time. . . don't see some friends and business pages that I "like" or became a fan of, no longer show up.

I find this very bothersome. . . perhaps they've become "too big"?

Frankly, for business purposes, twitter makes a lot more sense. It's quick, simple, no filters, and you can "point" people to your site.

ah I knew they were filtering things a little, but I didn't know it was doing it that much, and I didn't know there was a setting for it.

Yes, down at the very bottom of your page, you can select what is shown in your news feed. The recent update (which also changed their photo viewer) made it so only friends you interact with most are shown in your news feed.
