You can chose between 5-60 fps. I think it will be great for action shots, kids, wildlife. It has an interesting burst feature that shoots 20 frames and saves what it considers the best 5 (in auto). The 5-60 is available in manual modes also.
The most important feature I tested in the store was the ease of shooting in Aperture mode. Once I figured out the menu, I was able to configure AP as it works on my D600. I preset ISO to 400 and the selector wheel on the back rotates to easily change the aperture (no menu digging once it is setup). Flash and continuous mode work as normal in AP also so I was very pleased my shooting "habits" would mimic what I do with the D600.
