Nice, Woody! So I"m guessing you don't use a CP filter, do you? The reason I'm asking is because I looked at the EXIF and am floored by your low ISO. Today we had an overcast day with intermittent drizzle. Well, I happened to spot a juvenile eagle :encouragement: Although it was perched on an electrical tower, I kept my shutter speed at 1/1250". For some reason, it was difficult to hold my camera steady. My aperture was f/7.1. But my ISO was 5000. :nightmare: So I think I will remove the CP filter and see if that helps lower my ISO. And
maybe I will lower my shutter speed a tad.... Really don't want to go below 1/800" with a 300mm lens, 1.4x teleconverter, and a DX body. In the past, I had tennis elbow surgery - hence the not-so-steady arms.
Looking forward to more of your stellar wildlife images.
