Thanks!Great start, and welcome!
I think this needs a person or another recognisable object on the boardwalk to give a sense of scale. This one is a snap taken on my cellphone, on a boardwalk in Australia. I hope it's OK to post cellphone pictures... It's that trip that trigerred me to buy a DSLR; I preferred to use the cellphone than the point and shoot, and felt like a real camera was needed to get the picture I wanted.
Anyway, on this specific one I was trying to get camera flares to mix in with the boardwalk and trees. I could add flares in photoshop and it would be awesome...

Another picture from the Kooragang national reserve's boardwalk. Cleaner. I'd print that one...

The sky is almost always that blue in Australia. So much sun, great pictures opportunities in the outdoors!
Thanks for the idea!I think this needs a person or another recognisable object on the boardwalk to give a sense of scale.

I sometimes take pictures that I would like to show, perhaps get feedback, advice on what to change and what's good.
So here we go. My first picture for this thread.

Comments/questions welcomed.
I like pictures with old radios, so when I started to teach basic photography to my son, this shot came to.
When I wanted to demonstrate some of the capabilities of the camera, I realized it has this color splash over b&w feature... But in taking the reds, brown came with it.
In photoshop I'd be able to splash the red, without the white, or keep the yellow center of the flower, but for an in-camera feature, it's great.

That seems like a good looking radio, must have been the centerpiece of a family's living room back then.Does this one look familiar too?
