Unlike most on this site, I do not have a Nikon camera! I ordered one from one supplier about six weeks or so ago who told me that they did not have the one I wanted (a red D3300 camera and multiple lens pack) and did not know how long it would take to get it. They offered me my money back. So I went to another supplier who said it could be up to three weeks. I placed the order and waited. Around three weeks I contacted them, they contacted Nikon Australia, and no, it was not in the inventory of the next boat to arrive. Some time later when I contacted them it had reached Nikon Australia and therefore should be with me (via the shop) in less than a week. Today, just over a week later I contacted the shop who contacted Nikon Australia who said that they had sent the camera to another purchaser who had been waiting longer. Mine would have to be ordered again and would take at least another three weeks! Three questions: 1) could Nikon Australia not have let the shop I ordered it from know that the camera they were expecting was not coming?; 2) why could they not have put several ordered cameras on the same boat?; 3) why isn't my camera order at least already in the system - why does it have to be ordered again from scratch?
I believe Nikon sales are cavalier in their attitude to their customers and are not likely to last much longer as a manufacturer with that sales attitude. You may all soon have historic collectables!!! Angry? You bet!!!!
