Crazy tree!!!

Helene,

I agree with you, something is wrong with his eyes. In critiquing this photo, on the positive side, I'd have to say the white balance is set perfectly. That being said, I fear that this photo suffers from terminal (255,255,255) over-exposure. I'd suggest trying this photo again with a slower shutter speed, lower ISO and definitely stop down the aperture at least 5 stops. Just my opinion.

Opinion subject to change when there's a change in contrast and coloration of the image.

;)

Nokkie, don't mind these guys. We have all pushed the wrong button at some time or another and probably will do it again in the future some in the near future. I for one would like to see your Crazy Tree shot. Please repost it.

I think it would be great if you would post it :), we generally like to see the photo before we critique it :0

I, on the other hand, do not mind critiquing BEFORE I see the actual shot.

The composition seems to be a little too centered for my taste. I would try harder to apply the rule of thirds here so the tree will stand out more.

I would also make the bird's nest, (Upper right corner, center branch) more of a focal point. This would add more interest to that area.

All in all, a very nice shot albeit slightly overexposed. You show much promise!

Hope this helps! :)

Agree, I have spent most of my life pushing the wrong buttons, especially my wife's!
