Very nice work, Doug! Good composition on all the shots and I see you're experimenting with the sliders. I think the tractor against the sky is my favorite! Excellent work! Keep it up ! :D

Hi Helene !!! Nice to hear from you again. I've been busy these past months and havent been on here as much as I wanted to. During my absence from here, I purchased Photomatix Pro and LOVE it !!! these shots were a set of 5 bracketed shots and I got them in the country while camping in northern Ohio. we have a-lot of rolling hills and old farms with great old rustic barns and equipment. Makes for some great shooting !!!

Talk to you soon.

P.S. I've got more shots I need to run through Photomatix,,,so I'll post those soon also.

Just for future reference, post only 1 shot at a time in the critique forum. You can link to others in your gallery.

That said, I agree with Helene. My favorite is the next to last one w/ just the tractor. I think you've done a great job assembling your HDR image, as these are a tad on the surreal side, but not too overcooked. Nicely done!

I have to agree on the tractor against the sky shot......that's my favourite, too. I'm not a big fan of HDR, but this one is great....not overdone like a lot of HDR shots I've seen.

I really love the first tractor shot in black and white. It has a sense of monumentality. It puts me in mind of social realist novels from the 1930's.

I prefer the B & Ws. The colors are a little overcooked to my taste, but I've done it too. I find it is sometimes hard to create just the right mix for these. So for a first I think you did a great job.

Hi All-

First, I'm sorry for the multiple photo's ,,I'll remember that next time.

Secondly, Thanks for all the great comments. I know some might be a bit "extreme" if you will,,,,,I was playing with the sliders and wanted to see what the did. Also,,,I think with the right matte and frame, they could make nice artistic print's.

Sincerely- Doug
