Hi everyone,

It is my first time posting photos, and I would love your opinion on them. They are mixture of my work since i got my Nikon d3100. I am not sure is this right place in forum to put them, so please move my post if it is not.

Thank you in advance.:)

Personally, it's kind of hard to offer feedback if I have to bounce between another site to look at them. It's easier to look at them here and scroll up/down while typing feedback. They are very nice.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the feedback and the advice. Don't have much experience on forums. I have replaced links with photos.

Many thanks,

Your third shot, I think, is your strongest image of the three. I would like it even more if I could see the tops of the concrete posts, and with a little more space on the far right of the image. You have a strong leading line and too little space for my eye to fall into. Still, I like that you converted it to B&W and the long exposure gives the water an entirely appropriate ethereal quality.

All three are quality photos! I'm particularly drawn to the 2nd and 3rd photos, as both are beautiful shots. #2, great DOF and focal point. I'd love to see what it looked like with a cold tone or bleach bypass effect, but by itself it isn't bad at all. #3, the water looks almost ethereal, as if it could all evaporate at a moment's notice. Adds a nice effect!

Hi guys,

Thank you so much for your replays and feedback. I am still learning, but I am loving every moment of it. I will use this post to put more of my work as I go along, and any feedback is appreciated as it helps me to progress.

I really like the guitar pic. You captured a moment and that is always good. I like that it's just the hands so I have to imagine the person and their facial expression. Great DOF, good light.

A very nice set of photos, Petar

On the first, I think a vertical take to include more of her arm would have been better. I love the capture and while it should be obvious that the hand belongs to her, the eyes can play tricks, especially looking at it long enough. It then runs the risk of being a "detached limb."

On the second, the angle of shooting is fabulous along with the depth of field.

On the third one, I think shooting at a wider angle (18-20) and for a longer exposure would have created more impact.

You have a great eye. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Welcome to the forum.

Very nice Petar! My favorite of the three is the 2nd one. I love that you captured just the hands on the guitar. Love it!!!!
