was pretty disappointed with the announcement
What announcement? What did I miss?
Anyone use this device? Thoughts, comments. I have an iPhone 4s and was pretty disappointed with the announcement and wanted to switch to android.
I love my Samsung Galaxy S! I have the first one. I've used the iPhone before and they are very similar. What don't you like about your current iPhone?
I've had a few blackberries as well and I must say that I prefer the Android. I really love my Samsung Galaxy and when it's time to upgrade I will surely purchase another. Are you looking for some new features, faster processor or really just looking to upgrade to the latest model? I'm sure the new iPhone5 will be very nice. It might benefit you to wait awhile and see how it holds up and what the reviews have to say. Technology changes so rapidly as soon as you upgrade something newer is coming out.
hey willie ,ive been running android phones for about 4 yrs now.heres the good points...you can upgrade batteries you can download just about anything or write open source code, and they have expandable memory slots...the downside..iphones are cartoonish and extremely user freindly, versus you might have to download a program for a file to work on an android platform, and iphones have scads of accessories .but yes iphone five is not that appealing when you look at the specs.
Too Bad - you know what they say "if you don't have an IPhone well you just don't have an iPhone " it really floors me that Americans and Canadians will support a Korean company over a home grown awesome innovation of a company such as Apple? In north American seems like once someone or something is successful we must destroy it.
It's kind of funny that someone from Canada is saying buy Apple because it is "home grown". It's not a Canadian company and i do beleive that both Apple and Samsung employ people on both sides of the Pacific, so who cares if it's a Korean company - Nikon is a Japanese company and their DSLRs are made in Thailand. Should we not buy Nikon and wait around for a North American company to come out with DSLR that can compare? Personally, i would go for the S3 or even the S2. Samsung is ahead of Apple by a few years spec wise. Go with what you feel is the best bang for your buck. Sorry crApple, you're losing ground.

I have a Samsung "construction worker's" model...super plain super simple indestructable with no GPS so no one can track me. My kids have iphones...they and the rest of you all with smart phones just don't get it...hahaha LOL
I actually just got my personal S3 today. I previously took a look at two others (AT&T and Verizon). The Verizon one was actually a little faster in my 4g tests. It really is an incredible phone. It's fast, slick, and can probably do more than you need. FYI, my wife has a iPhone 4s, and it's good, but I prefer the (much) bigger screen and Android ICS. Here's some tips and tricks I put together.
Also, If you're interested in getting it a little cheaper (I got mine for $127 with new 2 year contract) check this out.
