Karma is a good thing.

Don there is just something about this whole circumstance that I just find both ironic and just rip-roariously hilarious! Here this guy is saying "F the police" and one of the very people he is trying to rally STEALS HIS CAR! I doubt he had the balls to report it stole to the police!

Elizabeth is a chick. Living in St. Louis, I've been following this closely for the past 3 months. No end to bizarre behavior on both sides of this issue.

This reminds me of a local event that was canceled due to racial violence (but of, and on the same race!). There was an event in Syracuse called something like "Juneteenth"? A celebration of a particular minority. It was cancelled due to several stabbings and other violent activity.

Reminds me of all the occupy wall street crowd protesting capitalism amongst other things while they all run around with Apple computers and phones - the epitome of capitalism.

She's a fool. I can only hope the violence ends. Not much chance of that sadly.

TRUE justice is meaningless there right now. This kid nearly ran down a police officer who in turn fired and killed him in self defense. Eyewitnesses have said so. But the facts are irrelevant in a situation like that. The only "justice" is what THEY call justice, which can only mean wildly inappropriate prosecution. This kid was trouble and was no stranger to the Ferguson PD. He was caught on video strong arming people in a convenience store. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

I was only 10 years old when Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. I was not exactly worldly at that point but I did see greatness in the man. I have spent nearly my entire life in the south to deep south and the one thing more than anything else that MLK preached was that if black people in this country wanted to be given the respect they deserved, they had to EARN it. They had to prove that they were worthy of that respect. 23 years in the US Army taught me that respect is something that is earned and not granted.

And then in an instant MLK is gone. And who steps in? Jesse Jackass. He and the likes of Al Sharpton have spent the last 46 years doing everything they can to completely UNDO everything MLK gave his life for. And places like Ferguson is a perfect example. The "reverends" have so brainwashed black people in this country to believe that ALL of their problems are "whitey's" fault when quite the opposite is true. I call it "willful blindness". Here is a newsflash for you, THE WORLD DOES NOT OWE YOU A DAMN THING. Especially for something that ended A CENTURY AND A HALF AGO. You get what you earn. This Michael Brown guy, just like Trayvon Martin, were THUGS. They already had a criminal past at the time of their deaths. You hate to have negative expectations of a person, especially one you do not know, but had they not died when they did, it is an all too common occurrence that both of them would have eventually become incarcerated, and probably for something pretty serious.

What is the answer to solve the problems in Ferguson? Who knows. But before any solution will work, first they have to undo nearly half a century of brainwashing and sense of entitlement.

If we went back to a system where you had to work for what you had (and survive), a lot of this "you owe me" attitude would die. It makes me sick to see what our country is turning into.

The work ethic that made this the most powerful and wealthiest country in recorded history was "if you don't work, you don't eat". And you for damn sure don't have a 60" flat screen courtesy of da guvmint.

Hunger is one of life's greatest motivators. But when you are handed a sum of money from the government each month, even if it leaves you not far above the poverty level, you lose your motivation to get a job and better yourself.

That all looks good on paper. But when you're an 18-year old kid with a 9th grade education and no skills and maybe a drug problem, you don't have hopes for a bright future. Rules suck. You get bitter and angry at those who "beat you down". We're seeing that here in St. Louis and I get it. I don't have any answers. I am, however, heavily armed.

I worked at a TV station and was the engineer on duty for the early morning talk show. Jessie Jackson was a guest one morning. The hosts, director and I were the only ones in the building at that ungodly hour so it fell to me to open the door to let guests in. They then waited in engineering with me till they were to go on. Most of the guests were great people and would carry on a conversation with me till they went on. It was an interesting room I worked in. Jessie Jackson came in with two very large men that were introduced as his associates. I did notice that both of them were armed. Jessie did not speak to me at all and he kept the "Associates" between him and me the entire time. I meet a lot of great people in that job and Jackson was by far the rudest one I ever met.

The problem is, they're often bitter and angry at the wrong people.

It's difficult to claw your way up from the bottom. Most will never know what it's truly like to be addicted to drugs, homeless, or worse. But at this day and age, I simply refuse to believe that people are stuck their against their will.

There is no way someone can not finish at least high school today. My wife teaches high school and she sees to many that are not motivated and their parents are enabling them to fail. Everything is the someone else's fault and never the fault of poor little Johnnie. An assignment will be due and never turned in and then the parents wonder why their child got a Zero. The kids tell them they did not know it was due because the teacher (my wife) did not tell them. My wife writes in on the board, posts it on her web site New Page | SpeakWrite and reminds them in class when it is assigned and a few days before they get reminded every day. The parents are required to look at the website and fill in a form that they know about it. They still insist they they did not know about the assignment.

Things are only going to get worse till society demands responsibility from parents to raise their children right. My parents did not spare the rod and spoil the child.

I believe in my heart that Jackson, Sharpton and the rest will be judged very harshly on their last day for what they have done in their lifetimes. It is a bad joke to say the least to call either of them a man of the cloth. There is NOTHING holy OR honorable about either one of them.

The race business (and make no mistake, it IS a business) goes much deeper than Jackson and Sharpton. They're window dressing. They're shysters who are visibly trying to cash in. It will be a glorious day in this country when black Americans finally figure out who's really behind the curtain.

Those two have gotten rich off of the backs of undedicated black people in this country and like I said, I believe both will be judged very harshly for it. They have stoked the fires of "it's all whitey's fault" for nearly the last half century The thing I find most ironic is that black on black violent crime is 10x that of white on black crime (FBI.gov stats) where is their outrage when it is black people murdering other black people? Shouldn't they be telling fellow black people to stop murdering each other over drug turf? When all they focus on is that very small percentage of white on black crime they lose ALL credibility.
