Nice choice Michael. From what I've read you should really enjoy what that camera can do. Keep on clicking. :encouragement:

the olympus viewer 3 is just great for jpeg as well as RAW.

The camera offers Large Super Fine jpeg files, that makes the photos great

Why did you sell your Nikon gear? I'm not up to speed on other manufacturers and their capabilities.

Back 40 Years ago a friend owned an Olympus and enjoyed it greatly. It had a smaller body than my Nikkormat and he took it everywhere. Olympus enjoys a fine reputation.

I felt that I am not anymore comfortable carrying my gear with me. I thought selling it since January, my vacation on the mountain.

since that I just took less than 10 photos. So on my 54th Birthday few days back, I felt it was the right time.

Makes sense. When we travel to a city or location that will require a lot of walking, I usually leave my gear at home and leave photography to my wife (with her old Nikon P100) and my child (with a Canon P&S). They both enjoy photography and always come away with good pictures.

In any case, stick with us here at Nikonites. Your photographs always bring me a smile and I'd miss seeing your work!
