What did I get myself into?

Well I just got back from the local camera shop and picked up a D5100 kit that they matched the price that Costco was carrying. The kit came with Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Body, 18-55mm Nikkor AF-S DX VR Lens, 55-300mm Nikkor AF-S DX VR Lens, video and bag. I also picked up a 16gb card, lens covers, UV Filters and hood for the 18-55. The 55-300mm came with the hood so I was save there.

I'll be taking outdoor pictures (fishing) and really looking forward to diving both feet into this new hobby. Looking forward to sharing!

Milam, welcome to the Nikonites Forum, hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I have! Congrats on the camera, I have the same (about 90 days) and loving it and the hobby...
