I've only had the recently released 1 NIKKOR 6.7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 lens a couple days with just a little time to give it a detailed work out. First impressions are very, very good. I love wide angle perspective and until this lens was released, I was frustrated by my V1. Knowing my shooting style, I expect this lens will be frequently used and may become my primary zoom. This lens is roughly equivalent to a 18-35mm SLR lens and has a shiny rather than flat or matte finish. It feels like a professional grade lens. Below are a couple sample images.

This morning's sunrise at the local kids park:

Close focus? Bokeh? Yes and Yes!!

Give us an update Eduard! I'm debating this lens, are you still impressed?

Rick, it feels like my 16-35 f4, but with less distortion. It's even made of all metal. I have the silver version. Check out the reviews on Youtube. Some of the reviewers call it a "Professional-quality" lens. They're referring to it's IQ and build.

I'm thinking this would be a better investment than the 10mm 2.8. From what I've read from you folks here and reviews, it looks like the best 3 would be the 6.7-13, 18.5 and 30-110. The only one I have now is the 10-30 (18.5 on the way) and I'm actually surprised by it for it's size!

You nailed it, but there is another lens that Eduard owns. It's the 10-100mm. I've never seen it, but it's on Nikon's site and I've read a little on it. It looks like a very impressive lens -- Very well built and over $500. I'm wanting Eduard's opinion on it. I'm wondering how it compares to the 30-110mm.

I like the range, but it looks pretty big! (relative to the rest of the system)

I just posted a short review of the 10-100. I like it very much.

Rick make sure you are looking at the non-PD version. It isn't nearly as big as the PD one.

Yea, that PD version is actually geared toward video, with the smooth power zoom feature, although it can be used for photos. It goes for over $700.
